Organise clients into groups for better management and targeted communication.

What Are Client Groups?​

Groups let you categorise clients:

  • Trade Customers - Business accounts with trade pricing
  • VIP - High-value customers
  • Students - Student discounts
  • Staff & Friends - Internal discounts
  • Marketing Opt-In - Agreed to marketing

Creating a Group​

  1. Go to Clients β†’ Groups
  2. Click Create Group
  3. Enter:
    • Name - Group name
    • Description - What this group is for
  4. Click Save

Adding Clients to Groups​

From Client Profile​

  1. Open the client
  2. Find Groups section
  3. Click Add to Group
  4. Select the group
  5. Save

Bulk Add​

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Select multiple clients (checkboxes)
  3. Click Bulk Actions β†’ Add to Group
  4. Select the group
  5. Confirm

Removing from Groups​

Single Client​

  1. Open the client
  2. Find the group badge
  3. Click the X to remove

Bulk Remove​

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Filter by group
  3. Select clients
  4. Bulk Actions β†’ Remove from Group

Viewing Group Members​

  1. Go to Clients β†’ Groups
  2. Click on the group name
  3. See all members

Or filter the client list by group.

Use Cases​

Trade Accounts​

Group business customers who:

  • Get trade pricing
  • Need invoicing
  • Have credit terms

VIP Customers​

Identify high-value customers for:

  • Priority service
  • Special offers
  • Personal follow-ups

Marketing Lists​

Group customers who:

  • Opted in to marketing
  • Want to hear about offers
  • Interested in specific services

Internal​

Track special relationships:

  • Staff members
  • Friends and family
  • Referral partners

Managing Groups​

Editing a Group​

  1. Go to Clients β†’ Groups
  2. Find the group
  3. Click Edit
  4. Update name/description
  5. Save

Deleting a Group​

  1. Find the group
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm

Note: Deleting a group doesn't delete the clientsβ€”just the group membership.

Multiple Group Membership​

Clients can belong to multiple groups:

  • A client can be both "Trade" and "VIP"
  • All groups show on their profile
  • Filter by any group

Best Practices​

  • Keep group names clear and consistent
  • Document what each group means
  • Review memberships regularly
  • Use groups for targeted communications

❌ Don't​

  • Create too many overlapping groups
  • Forget to update memberships
  • Use groups for sensitive classifications
